Interior applications and maintenance

Once your new pool interior has been pebbled and acid washed it is ready for the hose to go in and start filling. Do not walk in your pool while it is filling up as this may damage your new interior. Leave hose in the pool until the pool is full or up to just under the top of your skimmer.

  • Do not use bore water to fill your pool.

  • Tank water can be yellow to brownish from tannin from tree leaves. This can stain your new interior.

  • Do not enter your pool until it is full, this can damage your new interior. Foot prints from soils/grounds may stain the newly applied interior during curing stages.

  • After your pool is filled and filtration system is up and running, your pool should be manually brushed down every second day for the first month. This is due to the plaster and calcium residue that will build up on your new interior. A automatic pool cleaner will not do the job.

  • 50/50 & full glass bead interiors will require manually brushing down at least twice in the first 28 days (curing period). This is due to the calcium build up and cement residue.

  • Keep your pool chemistry at Australian Standard levels at all times. It is recommended you test your pool water weekly for the first month, then at least fortnightly after that. If it rains consistently for a few days, it is recommended to go and have your water tested. As rain will diulte your chemistry.

  • We recommend you go to your local pool shop to have your pool water professionally tested.

  • Failure to keep your pool chemically balance may result in permanent damage to your interior. Also can void warranties.

  • Do not drain your pool without consulting We Build Pools Pty Ltd. Pebble and glass bead interiors could be severely damaged if permitted to dry out. Causing the interior to go drummy and loose.

  • Rollovers - Please be aware we do not recommend pebble rollovers on pools. We choose not to do them. As pebble is better managed in controlled environments rather than exposed to full time sun/weather. Pebble is best up under the coping/waterline tile band, under water and away from direct heat and sunlight. We do not give a warranty for rollovers.

  • Pebble and Full Glass Bead Interiors have a huge variety of colours to choose from. At We Build Pools we also customise pebble and glass interiors at the customers request.

  • Black pebble or black glass bead interiors will require a ph doser to help manage the calcium. If you do not wish to purchase a doser we recommend ph levels are kept below 6.5 at all times.

  • We use 1-3 mm pebble and glass bead. This ensures our interiors are smooth and easy on those feet. Gently on kids.

  • Keep in minds children can swim for long periods, which like in a bath causes the skin to wrinkle and soften.
